Recipe Box: Sweet Baby Back Burgers

If you’re like most of America, you’re likely outside around the grill with some cool drinks and the love of your friends and family.

I will not be partaking because I am currently in the Bahamas!!!! Check out my instagram for some sneak peeks and adventures (@soainspired).

But if you ARE grilling some tasty burgers on the grill or at home, check out this delicious recipe for Sweet Baby Back Burgers PLUS!!! I have a bonus recipe for those oven baked zucchini fries.

Ingredients

1/2 lbs of ground turkey (beef or buffalo if that’s your thing)

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Parsley flakes

Paprika

Salt and Pepper

1/4 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce

Regular bread crumbs

1 whole egg

Sharp cheddar

Optional ingredients

Minced garlic

Chopped onions

Zucchini Fries Ingredients

3 large zucchini

1/4 cup olive oil

1/2 cup regular bread crumbs

Dash of salt

Dash of pepper

Directions

Zucchini Fries

Pre-heat oven to 400°

Peel zucchini with vegetable peeler and cut into 4-6 inch strips about 1/4 inch thick

Toss zucchini fries in a large bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and bread crumbs

Place onto cookie sheet

Bake in oven for about 30 minutes, or until crispy and golden

Sweet Baby Back Burgers

Place large skillet on medium-high heat and coat with olive oil

In a large bowl, add ground turkey, spices, bread crumbs, egg, and bbq sauce. Set sharp cheddar (about 1 cup if shredded, four slices if sliced) to the side. Mix ingredients (like really mix them, get your hands dirty!) together and form large balls with them, a little less than 1 in in diameter.

Flatten balls with palms of hands and place into heated skillet

Cover with lid and let cook for 4-5 minutes on each side.

Take out of skillet and place on plate with napkin to drain and cover with cheese.

Let cool. Place on your favorite bun/ bread/ pita. Add your tastiest toppings and…

Enjoy!

Tip: Try the zucchini fries with sriracha and let me know how they taste!
